Most breakdowns can be avoided with small habits. Here are the basics.
Before every trip
- Walk around the car and look at the tyres.
- Check that all lights and indicators work.
- Make sure you have fuel and clean windscreen.
- Fasten seatbelts, including rear passengers.

Spare tyre in good condition, jack and wheel spanner, jumper cables, warning triangle, torch, first-aid kit, water, phone charger and engine oil/coolant.

Safe driving habits
